Credible Messenger Mentor Training

The Credible Messenger Mentor Training program is designed to equip credible messenger mentors with the tools and skills needed for transformative mentoring. This specialized training recognizes credible messengers as expert mentors with lived experiences relevant to Tier 2 and Tier 3 youth, providing them with unique insights into the challenges these young people face.

The training includes core components such as navigating school systems, understanding and addressing complex family dynamics, resolving conflicts, mediating disputes, and comprehending the effects of trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). Additionally, the program emphasizes the importance of self-improvement for credible messengers, ensuring they consistently present themselves as strong, positive role models for the youth they mentor. By the end of the training, credible messengers are empowered with the knowledge and skills to make a lasting impact in their communities and foster meaningful change in the lives of vulnerable youth.
